J Taylor-Jones

J Taylor-Jones is a filmmaker from Sussex. Since beginning their A-levels, they have used their free time to develop a deep interest in experimental and avant-garde filmmaking. They are particularly interested in surrealism and its relation to the mind, as well as how it allows them to experiment with the representation of thoughts and feelings in tangible forms.

Their interests in observation have lead them to developing an interest in documentary filmmaking and incorporating factual filmmaking techniques into their fiction films and introducing fact to fiction, a result of their working with an independent factual television production company as a researcher and cameraperson.
Ruby Lewis

Ruby is a musician based in Sussex. She draws influence from nature, faith and her own experience to create music. Outside of creative pursuits, she is training to be a primary school teacher.

The inspiration behind the soundtrack for One Summer on Earth came from many walks with her dog, and the changing seasons over its creation. She is currently working on releasing an EP which includes some of the tracks from the film.
